Migration support and oversight of critical changes
Migrations and major infrastructure changes involve many interdependent systems and teams. We help structure preparation, carry out agreed work and verify that services meet the defined acceptance criteria after deployment.
Service scope
Migrations and critical changes
Support covers system migrations, infrastructure upgrades and higher-risk deployments. We identify dependencies, start conditions, checkpoints and rollback points. The engineering team works with SOC/NOC to account for security, availability and performance during and after the work.
Dependency discovery
We identify the systems, integrations and suppliers on which migration execution and subsequent service operation depend.
Execution plan
We define the action sequence, required access, checkpoints and conditions for starting and stopping work.
Engineering work
We perform agreed technical tasks and coordinate them with the client’s administrators and other delivery teams.
Oversight and acceptance
Together with SOC/NOC, we verify agreed security, availability and performance indicators and document outstanding issues.
Project deliverables
What will your team receive?
- Migration plan with a dependency map and assigned teams.
- Readiness, rollback and change acceptance criteria.
- Record of completed work and decisions.
- Post-migration verification results and further recommendations.
Delivery conditions
What do we agree before starting?
- Approved migration objective and team responsibilities.
- Available target environment, required licences and permissions.
- Agreed work window, rollback procedure and acceptance owners.
How we work
From understanding the need to verifying the result.
Prepare the change
We identify dependencies, confirm readiness and agree the plan and rollback criteria.
Execute the stages
We complete assigned tasks, verify checkpoints and document decisions throughout the work.
Acceptance and stabilisation
We verify service operation, hand over configuration for maintenance and organise outstanding tasks.
Clear responsibilities
What is already included, and what do we extend?
NOC and Enterprise include oversight of standard changes and agreed updates to designated components. Migrations, upgrades and project changes are extensions; moving between major versions is not automatically a routine maintenance update.
Before making a decision
Questions about migrations and critical changes
Does every update require a separate project?
No. Agreed patch management is part of NOC and Enterprise. Major versions, architecture changes and other project work may require a separate scope.
Who decides whether to roll back a migration?
The designated decision-maker, using previously agreed criteria. The plan also identifies who performs the rollback and how it is carried out.
Does support include the application vendor?
We agree the vendor’s involvement, responsibilities and availability. Work requiring vendor permissions or expertise remains assigned to the appropriate party.
