Information security risk management
Risk management should guide the choice of actions that matter to the business. We build a process for assessing threats, setting priorities and documenting decisions.
Service scope
Risk management
We structure information risk management around the organisation’s services, processes and assets. Using ISO/IEC 27005 guidance, we select a method suited to the available data and decision-making approach. We analyse threats, weaknesses, existing controls and potential consequences. The risk register is connected to the action plan and owners’ responsibilities. Assessments are updated after significant changes, incidents and audit findings so they remain useful in day-to-day management.
Criteria and methodology
We agree scales, acceptance thresholds and impact assessment principles. We define roles, review frequency and how uncertainty is described.
Identification and assessment
We connect processes and information with potential breach scenarios. We account for dependencies, existing controls and evidence of their operation.
Risk treatment
We prepare options for reducing, avoiding, sharing or accepting risk. We identify tasks, costs to estimate, dependencies and responsibilities.
Acceptance and updates
We support assessment of residual risk after actions are completed. We document owners’ decisions and events that require reassessment.

How we work
From understanding the need to verifying the result.
Agree a common risk vocabulary
We define scope, criteria and owners, and select a method the organisation can maintain.
Assess scenarios
We conduct workshops and analyse evidence. We justify assessments and identify uncertainties requiring clarification.
Put decisions into action
We prepare an action plan and acceptance records, connecting register updates to existing reviews and changes.
Clear responsibilities
What is already included, and what do we extend?
Organisation-wide risk management is a GRC service. Prioritisation of SOC incidents and Enterprise vulnerabilities remains within the core plan, but provides only part of the data needed for risk assessment.
Before making a decision
Questions about risk management
Is a vulnerability scanner result a risk assessment?
It is one input. Risk assessment also considers service criticality, exposure, possible consequences and controls that mitigate the scenario.
Do we need a complex numerical model?
Not always. We match the level of detail to the decisions and data quality. Consistent criteria and documented reasoning matter more than apparent precision.
How often should the risk register be updated?
According to the adopted schedule and after significant changes. An incident, a new supplier or a process change may require earlier updates to selected assessments.
